The street is where my photography passion started, but it had been a very, very long time since I’ve gone out to do some street photography…like I mean, the last time I did that, I was using a Nikon FM shooting black and white film.

Luckily, I have a good pro photography friend who inspired me to go back to where it all started. He’s a fantastic street photographer who was kind enough to let me join him one afternoon.

We meet up at Roncesvalles during the afternoon “golden hour” to capture the perfect light as the sun was setting.

I had forgotten how amazing it is to get out and photograph freely, without purpose or expectations. To be able to photograph what inspires me or what catches my eye is a real treat.

Especially during this pandemic, when all my corporate work stopped, it was awesome to be able to be creative and to pick up my camera and just shoot.

It was very therapeutic, walking around and being in the moment…seeing, hearing and smelling all that was around. I felt that it opened me up to so much beauty that Toronto has to offer to anyone that takes the time to look.
